On April 22, 2024, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) published the long-awaited Ensuring Access to Medicaid Services Final Rule, better known as the “Access Rule.”
The Access Rule aims to improve HCBS workforce adequacy, person-centered planning,
transparency and data reporting, stakeholder engagement, critical incident management,
waitlist issues, and efficiencies in service delivery and HCBS program performance, among other
priorities.
During this member-only webinar, ASD will review the requirements related to self-directed HCBS including the 80/20 requirement, reporting, transparency on payment rates, and grievance systems. ASD will then lead an open discussion to answer your questions and invite member feedback about the rule’s implications for self-direction. Member feedback will be shared with CMS on an ongoing basis as CMS will continue to issue guidance related to the Access Rule in the coming years.
