1000s of Central NYers and their caregivers must act now to keep Medicaid payments flowing
Participants are navigating a chaotic transition in CDPAP, the state's popular home-care program. Across the state, more than a half-million people need to reenroll. Each patient and caregiver is mostly on their own to gather needed medical records, contact the new vendor and go through a lengthy process to make sure they are switched to the new system. It’ll be a heavy lift to get everyone transitioned over in time, said Bruce Drake, CEO of Arise Inc. in Syracuse. But the alternative is hard to fathom.
