Building the Caring Economy: Workforce Investments to Expand Access to Affordable, High-Quality and Long-Term Care

June 1, 2017

The Georgetown Center on Poverty and Inequality released a new report, Building the Caring Economy: Workforce Investments to Expand Access to Affordable, High-Quality and Long-Term Care, proposing caregiving jobs investments to address two national needs: the pressing need for caregiving; and the equally pressing need for good jobs. With these aims, they offer proposals that promote the wellbeing of children, older adults, people with disabilities, and their families by creating and sustaining good jobs in the caregiving sector.

The Executive Summary and full Report are both available online.

The primary author, Nina Dastur, presented on her research during our 2017 Self Direction Conference. You can view her slides here.
