Governor Kelly announces fiscal year 2026 budget

Last Thursday, Gov. Laura Kelly announced her annual budget. The budget provides support for disability and employment services: Gov. Kelly’s budget includes funding for Home and Community-Based Services Capacity Building, including $20 million for Home and Community Based Services Provider Grants. This budget also provides funding for Community Support Waiver Funding. This budget addresses the demands of a rapidly growing aging population and funds essential services to the most vulnerable Kansans.
