Mills proposes revamp to intellectual and developmental disability services in new budget

A lifespan waiver could ensure people receive consistent care throughout their lives. But more needs to be done to make sure those services are available, advocates say. The state wants to create a “lifespan” approach. The idea is to plan what services a person is likely to need throughout their life and make sure they have a funded slot in the program.
