NCDHHS provides new recommendations to enhance workforce and announces funding to support rates paid to direct support professionals

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) is committed to developing a more skilled and satisfied caregiver workforce to improve the quality of care and support available to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who receive publicly funded home- and community-based services. In late November 2023, NCDHHS announced a rate increase for Innovations Waiver services supported by $176 million in state and federal recurring funding.
