New Kaiser Family Foundation Report

May 16, 2017

The Kaiser Family Foundation recently released the issue brief, State Variation in Medicaid Per Enrollee Spending for Seniors and People with Disabilities, showing major variations in Medicaid spending across different states and and different populations within those states. Based on historical spending data, the authors conclude that implementing per capita caps in Medicaid as mandated by the American Health Care Act would have a disproportionate impact on seniors and people with disabilities. The issue brief is available online.
