NY says 88K people enrolled in home aide program as deadline looms

The Department of Health has insisted it will be able to complete a full transition of over 240,000 people who use the program. That looming deadline has caused anxiety among consumers enrolled in the program, which allows people with long-term or chronic medical needs to hire their own personal assistants to help them live independently.
