Self-Direction Conference


The Self-Direction Conference is the only national conference dedicated to self-direction. Our conference brings together state and federal government, managed care organizations, Financial Management Services entities, people and families who self-direct, and other key stakeholders from across the country to collaborate on one goal: advancing self-direction. Practical, focused sessions and ample networking opportunities offer attendees the opportunity to share and learn about best practices and new innovations to expand and enhance self-directed services.

The Hyatt Regency is 10 miles from Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) Airport. Taxi service is available from BWI on a first-come, first-serve basis from the lower level curb of all terminals. As an integral part of the Self-Direction Conference, we are offering vendors a chance to show off, explain, and demonstrate their tools or technology with an audience of state Medicaid administrators, Financial Management Services (FMS) providers, managed care organizations (MCOs), and other Medicaid stakeholders as a part of our Tools and Tech to Self-Direct showcase.

We encourage anyone with a product or service that supports self-direction to be a part of the showcase. We anticipate showcases to include EVV solutions, software and hardware products, technology to improve home and community living, and tools that support independence.

Organizations who participate in the Tools and Tech to Self-Direct showcase will receive a 25-minute time slot for their presentation and demonstration, as well as several marketing opportunities throughout the conference.
